Week 1 – experimentation with geometry

Since shifting my focus onto geometry I am interested in looking at form and how light and shadows can be created by them.

Inspired by my facade project, I experiment with joining varying triangles.

Then I am interested in cutting out relating shapes and studying the shadows created.

I could make this into a larger form and light the inside to see the patterns of shadows created, however this would be tedious (I don’t enjoy cutting out holes with a craft knife) and I don;t think this would achieve my aim, although I like the resulting experiment.
